Welcome to The Elms SubAcute Rehabilitation and Nursing Facility!
We are proud to offer you this glimpse inside our facility. We hope that many of the questions you may have about our services can be answered here, but we invite you to stop by for a visit anytime to experience firsthand what a day at "The Elms" is like.
The Elms is a Subacute Rehabilitation and Nursing facility located in historic Cranbury, NJ that has been owned and managed by the Dietrick family since 1960. The Elms is unique in that aside from providing outstanding patient care, there is a warmth and intimacy about us that makes you feel more like you are a guest in a friend's home, rather than a patient. Our family is actively involved in the day to day operations here, and we do our best to be accessible and involved in your care when you need us. We believe that this is a people business - what we do here has a profound impact on your life - we are caring in the most basic ways for your spouse or parent or other loved one. We aren't just selling you something that can be taken back to the store if you don't like it - our success and the success of the person entrusted to our care is profoundly affected by the treatment they receive by our staff. Whether you are a patient or are visiting someone who is staying with us, we hope that you enjoy our children, our dogs, our "home" and that you feel welcome and secure during your stay.
The Elms provides two distinct levels of inpatient care, as well as outpatient rehabilitation services. For those individuals who require intensive therapy or complex medical management prior to returning home, our Subacute Services for Orthopedic Rehabilitation or Nursing include individualized treatment plans designed to return you back home as quickly and as safely as possible.
Those individuals whose care needs can no longer be met at home and are seeking 24 hour nursing care in a warm, personal environment can learn more about what The Elms is like under Long Term Care Services.
In some cases, your physician may require that you receive physical, occupational or speech therapy, although an inpatient stay is not necessary. In addition, a continuation of therapy may sometimes be appropriate following an inpatient stay. For these circumstances, The Elms proudly offers Outpatient Services to meet the need of our clients in the community.
