Greenwood House is a non-profit health care organization committed to providing the highest quality care for the Jewish elderly to meet their physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs in an atmosphere of compassion, dignity, empathy and hope.

Robert and Natalie Marcus Home for the Jewish Aged
Robert and Natalie Marcus Home for the Jewish Aged is a skilled nursing facility committed to providing the highest quality care for the Jewish elderly. We provide a home for 132 residents, with an average age of 86.

Abrams Residence
Abrams Residence is a 20-bed assisted living facility located on the campus of Greenwood House that meets the needs of seniors who are not quite ready to enter a nursing home, yet need substantial services.

Homemaker Services
This helpful service brings qualified and caring professionals to a limited number of community residents providing personal care, light housekeeping and shopping for individuals in the comfort of their own home.

Kosher Meals on Wheels
Labbok Kosher Meals on Wheels is a home-delivered meal program that provides up to two nutritionally balanced kosher meals per day to elderly persons who are homebound, chronically ill, convalescent or disabled.

Greenwood House Hospice
This program provides end-of-life care and services to individuals in Mercer County and surrounding areas and offers physical, emotional and spiritual support to individuals and their families.

Location
Greenwood House has served Mercer County, NJ; Bucks County, PA; and the surrounding counties since 1938. It is located just five minutes from I-95, 45 minutes from Philadelphia and 90 minutes from New York City.

Judaic Heritage
Greenwood House operates in keeping with the rich traditions and values basic to the Judaic heritage. At Greenwood House, religion helps give focus to the lives of elderly residents. All food is prepared strictly according to Jewish dietary laws. Our beautiful synagogue holds religious services and we observe the Sabbath and religious holidays. Yiddish Circle activities and discussion groups based on Jewish and other contemporary concerns keep residents closely linked to their peer group. Activities based on Judaic heritage connect residents to the remembered society of their childhood and middle years and to their current community.

The Abrams Residence
Assisted Living Services and Amenities
The Abrams Residence, a 20-bed assisted living facility, is located on the campus of Greenwood House and meets the needs of seniors who need assistance with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and medication assistance but do not need nursing home care. Abrams Residence is committed to meeting the physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs of Jewish elderly in a secure, nurturing and caring assisted living environment.

Abrams Residence consists of 16 one-bedroom and 2 two-bedroom apartments. Residents may provide their own furnishings, if they wish, or the apartment will be furnished for a reasonable fee. There is a kitchenette (sink, small refrigerator, microwave, cabinets) with an area for a small table and chairs, bedroom, living room area, bathroom and closets.

Tastefully appointed common rooms, a gracious dining area and a living room with large screen television and fireplace offer the comforts of home in a safe and secure setting. Three delicious, healthy Kosher meals a day are provided and snacks and beverages are always available. Telephone and cable television service is available in each apartment and a beautiful secured area for outdoor recreation and relaxation adjoins the common living room.

Caring staff is on-site 24-hours a day and state-of-the-art safety and security equipment including exit door alarms, smoke detectors, fire sprinklers, emergency call systems in each apartment and a 24-hour emergency response system provide a sense of security for residents and their families.

An in-house barber and beauty salon, housekeeping, personal laundry and linen services are available. Residents can choose to participate in many physical, social and cultural activities such as yoga, arts and crafts, and musical programs. Opportunities to attend activities in the local community including outings to shopping malls, restaurants and movies are provided.

Family, friends and pets are always welcome to visit!

Personalized Care
Trained health care professionals are available to provide assistance to residents 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Licensed nurses supervise administration of medication and offer health and personal supplies acquisition. Abrams staff also includes certified nursing assistants, a social worker, and dietitian and activity director.

A physician is available to address resident needs, and physical, speech and occupational therapy are offered as well as referrals to specialists when needed.
