Morris Hall has two wings: St. Mary’s Assisted & Residential Living, offering private apartments with nursing assistance, and St. Joseph’s Skilled Nursing Center, providing long-term, 24-hour skilled nursing. Affiliated with Morris Hall, and sharing its 40-acre campus are St. Lawrence Rehabilitation Center, a well-respected, not-for-profit physical rehabilitation hospital, and Villa Vianney, a home for retired priests.
Since Morris Hall is a not-for-profit community, its main focus is on residents and their care. Staff, residents, and their families are here for the long term and forge close ties. In fact, Morris Hall assigns permanent care-giving teams, enabling residents to get to know the same nurses, physicians, aides, and even housekeepers over time. Since St. Mary’s and St. Joseph’s share a building, residents can comfortably transition through a continuum of care — utilizing residential living, assisted living and nursing home living — as their health requires. Excellent care remains the constant, ensuring that residents maintain a good quality of life for the rest of their lives.
Our Facility
Upstaris at St. Mary’s is the residential living floor, for residents who are a bit more ambulatory and self-sufficient. When they need a little more help, residents can choose assisted living, on the ground floor. Both floors feature the same types of apartments, and both residential and assisted living include the same basic services, three meals, snacks, utilities, preferred cable (except phone), housekeeping, maintenance, an emergency call system, on- and off-campus activities, round-the-clock staff, and a semi-annual assessment of each person’sstatus and needs. In addition, the staff will customize the level of care to meet the needs of each resident. Individuals who require help with particular activities of daily living - whether it’s bathing, taking medications, coordinating appointments, or diabetic monitoring - can arrange for these added services. St. Mary’s residents enjoy the privacy of their own personally decorated apartment and the companionship of living among friends and sharing new experiences with them. Residents eat together in the communal dining room, taking part in group activities and outings, and enjoy getting together in St. Mary’s common areas, which include a nutrition and snack area, puzzle and game room, lobby, library, craft room, two TV lounges, and a laundry room.
Our Facility
Medicare and Medicaid approved and certified, St. Joseph’s offers 120 beds on two floors. Though there are a limited number of singles, most rooms are doubles, and the staff pays the same careful attention to matching compatible roommates as it does to residents’ health care. Residents are encouraged to bring a TV and pictures to personalize their space as well as to take advantage of all the activities and services available, whether it’s a visit to physical therapy, to the on-site beauty parlor, or to daily mass.
